“I’m going to take over my father’s farm in Kamerik very soon. At the moment, he and I milk our 100 red-pied cows together everyday. I love farming: it’s wonderful combination of running a business, working with your hands and working with animals. Weather permitting, our cows go out to pasture. It’s a very pretty sight and it’s better for the natural flavour of the milk, so it’s good for the cheese too. I make some of the cheese myself, according to a family tradition, but I’m happy to let De Graafstroom use the rest of the milk.”
