“In 1986, I exchanged my family’s mixed agricultural business for this farm on `t Gein near Abcoude. My wife Marina and I keep our farmyard with our 100 dairy cattle neat and tidy. I prefer to milk them in the evening rather than the morning - not all farmers are morning people. At our farm, the cows get all the attention and pasture grazing they deserve: it’s better for the animals and it’s better for the milk. After all, you can taste the love for our cows in our cheese.”
